Public encouraged to attend meeting to discuss the future of Scottsbluff High School

Posted: Updated:

Changes will be coming to Scottsbluff High School, and district administrators want the public to be informed.

The Scottsbluff Public School's Advisory Council is hosting a meeting on the future of the Scottsbluff High school facility.

The building is currently 52 years old.

Conversations at the meeting will focus on recommendations from a recent facility assessment, as well as plans to transform the outdated classroom wing of the high school.

"We would like to have a full house because we're really discussing the future of our high school," said Scottsbluff Public Schools Superintendent Rick Myles. "I believe that Scottsbluff High School can be a big piece of the vitality of this entire community and should be. We've got a staff and leadership at the high school that are ready to do some dramatic things and we'd like the public to know about it and we'd like to hear from people and what they think as well."
