Mobile vet center offers useful resources to local veterans

Posted: Updated:
A mobile veterans center rolled onto a local college campus in Scottsbluff on Tuesday providing information to military veterans and their families.
At Western Nebraska Community College the vet center stopped by to offer resources on medical health care benefits and counseling.

Chris Wolf with the Veterans Upward Bound program at WNCC says the vet center has been tasked with visiting veterans in every county across the U.S.

She says there's a great number of veterans in the area that have benefited from "the office on wheels."

One veteran from Gering says it's important that all veterans take advantage of opportunities like this.
"It's good for your health and your well-being and just in case there's something wrong with you they can probably find it and most likely they will. It's just a helpful thing for your health," said Vietnam veteran Rick Lee.
The mobile vet center travels to Alliance on Wednesday then visits Chadron State College on Thursday.
