XL Pipeline protesters rally in front of Secretary of State John Kerry's house

Keystone XL pipeline protesters have been active this week.

Members of the Cowboy and Indian Alliance recently rallied outside of Secretary of State John Kerry's house in Georgetown.

The group hit up the Georgetown house in tribal gear to say building the Keystone Pipeline would harm the environment.

Several protesters from Nebraska are worried that the pipeline will threaten the viability of the Ogallala aquifer.

But advocates for the pipeline say it is an efficient and safe way to bring Canadian oil into the US.

They say it will boost the economy and reduce american dependence on foreign oil.

If approved, the proposed Keystone XL Pipeline would run through eastern Nebraska from Cedar County to Jefferson County.
