Scottsbluff woman busted with stolen goods

A 26-year-old Scottsbluff woman is facing criminal charges after police caught her with a variety of goods that were reported stolen from an East Overland business.

Crystal Mata was arrested on Thursday afternoon on a charge of possession of stolen property (over $1,500). Court documents say Police were looking for a Victor Mata, and ran the plates of a vehicle parked behind a 10th Avenue home. Nobody was home, but a visual search of the parked vehicle showed two paris of boots and a belt that matched the description of items stolen during a burglary at Rincon Latino.
Surveillance video from the burglary captured a man who looked like the Victor Mata they were looking for.

A search warrant was obtained and the vehicle was searched. Officer sfoundboots and jewelry that were on the list of items that Rincon Latino had given police. When Crystal Mata arrived, she was placed under arrest.
