Pirsch citing extensive experience to take on role as Attorney General

The U.S. Senate race is not the only high profile contest for the primaries, as the battle to become Nebraska’s next Attorney General wages on.

Pete Pirsch hosted a meet and greet Monday night at the Scottsbluff Hampton Inn. The Republican says standing up against federal overreach – especially for the farming industry – is a main priority.

Pirsch says that he sets himself apart from other candidates because of his unique and prestigious background. “Then-Governor Mike Johanns appointed me to the Nebraska Crime Commission, and I served with the attorney general in providing oversight in the major aspects of our criminal justice system in Nebraska. And then for the past 8 years I was elected and served with the Nebraska Legislature.”

Former mayors Don Overman and Bob Unzicker, along with businessman Hod Kosman are endorsing the Republican to replace Jon Bruning as Attorney General.
