Murdoch's Pet Health Fair offers reduced-cost vaccinations for pets

Posted: Updated:

Fuzzy faces, bushy tails, and slobbery smiles all showed up at Murdochs in Scottsbluff Saturday afternoon.
The annual 'Pet Health Fair' brought in pets of all types to get licensed, micro-chipped, and to have a tail-wagging good time.

Several vaccinations were also administered at a lower cost to owners.

Panhandle Humane Society Executive Director, Cathy McDaniel, says the goal of the fair is to reach out to pet owners who might not be able to afford the vaccinations other wise.
"You know, we're really trying to attract people that many not otherwise go to get their shots. If you have a veterinarian that's wonderful and you should go there. If you can't afford it, its good to come to something like this because its so important, your pet has to be vaccinated."
McDaniel says its extremely important for pet owners to make sure their pets are up to date on  rabies vaccinations because of the recent rabies outbreak in Goshen and Scotts Bluff County.
