Robidoux Trading Post repaired after recent vandalism

Posted: Updated:

An Oregon Trail landmark is back in commission after a recent vandalism.
The Robidoux Trading Post south of Gering fell victim to vandals earlier this year.

But Karla Streeks, executive director of the Gering Convention and Visitors Bureau says the post is now back in top-notch shape.

Crews recently had to replace windows and fixtures after the property was discovered damaged in February.

Law enforcement officials have yet to find anyone responsible for damages.
The Robidoux Trading Post was declared a National Historic Landmark in 1961.

The post is a real-life replica of the original trading post built by an Indian trader named Robidoux.
