Passport Program features NEBRASKAland Days as part of their "Can't Get Enough Tour"

All this month we are featuring attractions in Western Nebraska that are part of the Nebraska Tourism Commission's 'Passport Program'.

Today, we put the spotlight on an event that will be celebrating its golden anniversary this year. Nebraskaland Days in North Platte is turning 50 this year.
Tourism Commission Director Kathy McKillip says that says this event can easily rival Cheyenne Frontier Days. She is encouraging all counties and communities to attend this years festivities, whether it's entering a float in their parade or attending the rodeo.

She says one unique thing that is coming back this year is the wild west tour.
"It is the original Buffalo Bill Cody's Wild West Show. It is historically documented, it's not exactly the same performers as in Buffalo Bill's days, but it is exactly formatted and performed the way they would have done that. And we think that's a really cool way to step back into history.
This years Nebraskaland days kick off on June 18th, with musical acts Lady Antebellum and Billy Currington performing.
