1)½ cup finely ground coffee 2)½ tsp ground clove 3)1/tsp ground star anise 4)2 Tbl brown sugar 5)1Tbl kosher salt
Combine all of the ingredient together and mix well coat both side of a 6oz sirloin steak and refrigerate for about twenty minutes. Heat a sauté pan to medium high heat, lightly coat with oil now sear the steak for about 3 to 4 minutes on both side making sure to create a crust. The Steak should be a nice medium rare at this point add about 2 more minutes to each side if you want the steak more done. Serve on a bed of chopped romaine and serve with your choice of dressing.
