Posted: Updated:
The man who led police on a 50-mile high speed chase is scheduled to face a Scotts Bluff County District judge later this month.

31-year-old Christopher Lynch appeared before County Judge James Worden on Thursday for his preliminary hearing.
Sergeant Mark Bliss of the Sheriff's Department testified about last weekend's chase to Judge Worden. Bliss recalled Lynch approaching a checkpoint but turning around and fleeing from deputies. Nearly three hours later, Lynch was caught in a field in Banner County and arrested.

Lynch faces several charges including two outstanding felony charges, driving without a license, and willful reckless driving.
His next court appearance is May 16th.
