Public asked to vote for Scotts Bluff County Fairgrounds face lift grant

Posted: Updated:
Scotts Bluff County Fairgrounds has been named one of 10 finalists competing for a Fairground Facelift grant sponsored by Grinnell Mutual Reinsurance Company.

If voted as a winner, Scotts Bluff County Fairgrounds will receive a  grant to create an indoor livestock wash rack. The made-over facility would allow the fairgrounds to host a variety of animal shows during the winter. Currently, the fairgrounds hosts three progress shows, a beef clipping clinic, and an American Kennel Club show, in addition to the county fair.

“People living and working in rural areas know the needs of their local fairgrounds,” said Director of Advertising and Community Relations Barb Baker. “Anyone can vote for a project. Each vote on Grinnell Mutual’s Front Porch Facebook page will help decide which projects receive one of the three grants.”

Voting is now open. To vote, visit Grinnell Mutual’s Front Porch Facebook page, https://www.facebook.com/GrinnellMutualFrontPorch.

Voting ends Tuesday, May 27, 11:59 a.m. Central Time.
