Open house held for new Handy-Bus Barn

Posted: Updated:

Scotts Bluff County's newest bust barn is officially in business.

The bus barn, which will house all 10 of the county's Handy Busses, officially opened today.

The barn was constructed because the garage in Gering where the busses used to park in was needed by the Highway Department.

Carol Prince, director of Scotts Bluff County Operations says the nearly million dollar bus barn project has been years in the making, and she's glad to finally see it ready for use.
"Its been a long time coming, I've been working on this for about three years now trying to get this building built so finally we have it done and it's a wonderful building, we have everything we need here so it will be great."
Prince says the new building even has a built-in car wash, so they wont need to spend any more money taking the busses to get washed.
