A song writer turned country artist will be headlining the Scotts Bluff County fair this year.

American country artist Chris Cagle has been announced as the headliner for this year’s fair.

Cagle is known for his hits “What Kinda Gone” and “Chicks Dig It”.

The American country/southern rock band “Confederate Railroad” will be opening for Cagle on Saturday, August 9.

Lana Hubbard, the Scotts Bluff County Fairgrounds Manager, says there will also be a new type of music set this year.

“On Thursday night we’re having something new, we’re having an Eagles tribute band, called ‘The Long Run,’ and I’ve heard great things about them, too.”

This year’s fair will run August 1-9.

Pre-sale tickets will be available on June 3 from 5-8 p.m. at the Fairgrounds.
