Tornados confirmed in Scotts Bluff County

A powerful thunderstorm helped drive several tornado's and funnel clouds Tuesday evening in Scotts Bluff County.

Shortly before 5:30 p.m., a tornado was confirmed near Mitchell as the storm moved east into the Scottsbluff/ Gering area.

Along with high winds, the storm produced marble sized hail, rain, and several funnel clouds.

On 42nd Street in Scottsbluff, a report of a fire is believed to have been caused by a blown power transformer. Several traffic lights were reportedly out at intersections.

A 50-year-old woman who lives in  northern Scotts Bluff County required medical assistance after reportedly getting hit in the head with a hailstone.
