Passport to Alliance begins this weekend

Posted: Updated:
Members of the Alliance Visitors Bureau and the Alliance Chamber of Commerce are teaming up with several local attractions ready to answer the question "what is there to do in Alliance?"
The 2014 Passport to Alliance scavenger hunt and trivia contest kicks off this Saturday. The contests lasts for 12 weeks. Passports to record your stops are available at the 18 attractions or at Box Butte Central.

Visitors Bureau Director Kevin Howard says participants are asked to visit attractions like Dobby's Frontier Town and answer a question on each place.

Howard says the contest is a way for people to get into the door of the attractions and see what Alliance has to offer.
"You have to go to the attraction to find the answer. None of the questions are there that you can look up on the Internet or see anything on TV. It's something that you have to go there," said Howard.
The entire scavenger hunt can be completed in two hours. One $50.00 prize will be awarded each week. Participants must visit each attraction, find the trivia answer and write it on an answer sheet that will be provided. Entries must have the correct answer for all questions to be eligible for the weekly drawing. One entry per household.
