Carhenge parked in second place for national quirkiest landmark contest

Posted: Updated:
Carhenge, the American car replica of Britain's Stonehenge, is currently parked in second place in USA Today's Quirky Landmark contest as of Tuesday, June 10th.

The Alliance attraction started off in first place during the early hours of the contest but last weekend Big Tex in Dallas, Texas pulled more than a few car lengths ahead.

Alliance Visitors Bureau Director Kevin Howard says this is great exposure for the city and hopes people will get online and vote.

There are 20 attractions to choose from in the contest.

Voting lasts until Monday, June 23 at noon E.T. There's one vote per day (per device you choose to use).
