People in Torrington begin cleaning up after Tuesday's storm

Posted: Updated:
People living in Torrington are beginning the process of cleaning up after the massive storms that hit the area Tuesday night.
On East C Street, roofers were busy ripping off old, damaged shingles off roofs caused by golf ball sized hail.  Today they were hard at work to start putting on new roofs.

Shutters on people's houses, vinyl siding, and vehicles all sustained damage throughout the eastern Wyoming community. Resident Mary Ann Simpson says she is thankful that nobody got hurt during the storm. "The wind just came up really hard and it started hailing and the ground was covered like it was snowing," explains Simpson. "And it just beat all the paint off my house and broke a window in my living room.(It) messed up my yard but that's all- it can all be fixed."
Many trees lost a large portion of their leaves as a result of that severe thunderstorm as well.
