Man who led authorities on 105 m.p.h. chase receives lengthy prison sentence

The man who led police on a high speed chase through Scottsbluff and Gering in March has been sentenced to prison.

Yesterday, 23–year–old Alex Paramo was sentenced to spend the next 7.5 to 15 years (92-180 months) behind bars.

On March 19th, Paramo crashed his car in Gering after reaching speeds of up to 105 miles per hour. Police found a handgun and methamphetamine in the car.

In April, Paramo pled no contest to charges of operating a motor vehicle to avoid arrest, possession of a firearm by a prohibited person, and possession of methamphetamine.

Under the plea agreement,  prosecutors dropped several charges.
