Valley Ambulance ready for Cattleman's ball

Posted: Updated:
Members of one KOTA Territory response team say they are prepared to handle any medical emergencies that may happen at this weekend's Cattleman's ball.
Crews with Valley Ambulance in Scottsbluff say they've practiced on what to do in a real-life situation given the event's location which seems to be placed in the middle of nowhere.

Valley Ambulance Vice President, Jordan Meininger, says his medics are responsible for transporting patients from the scene of an incident to a mobile medical center.

He says driving an ambulance vehicle at such an event is too large so paramedics will be using what's called a Med-Lite transport vehicle which is able to drive on any terrain quickly and safely.
"The prior planning just allows us to be stress-free as much as possible with everybody else in a stressful environment. Our job is to go in there and bring them into a calm environment and take care of the situation and keep safety at the top priority and let's us do our job a lot more proficiently," said Meininger.
Crews with Valley Ambulance Services are working with nearly one-thousand other medical and law enforcement officers for the event.
