JaCee Pilkington's reign is over, and there is a new Miss Nebraska wearing the crown.

Megan Swanson of Omaha was named ‘Miss Nebraska 2014’ this weekend.

Swanson broke a four-time winning streak in the panhandle, where the last four Miss Nebraska winners were from.

Swanson, former ‘Miss Douglas County’ competed against 18 other contestants for the title.

First runner up was Aleah Peters, Miss State Fair. Second runner up was Rachel Forhlinger, Miss River City. Third runner up was Allison Tietjen, Miss Heartland. Fourth runner up was Alyssa Howell, Miss Eastern Nebraska.

The girls competed in North Platte over the past three days, impressing the judges with evening wear, swim wear, talents, interview questions, and platforms.

Swanson's platform is 'Total Body Wellness: spirit, soul, body.'

Swanson is a Dean's List student at Belmont University in Nashville, Tennessee where she studies Commercial Music Voice.

Swanson will have a chance to compete for the 'Miss America' crown this September.
