Posted:
Graduates from the South Dakota School of Mines and Technology continue to enjoy one of the highest job placement rates in the country.

About 98 percent of 2012–2013 graduates from the School of Mines found jobs in their field of study. The average salary was a little more than $62,000 a year. Geology graduates had a 100 percent placement and averaged a salary of almost $71,000.

The School of Mines added a new minor in petroleum systems to their list for the fall, hoping to provide education in the rapidly growing energy field.
