Sen. Al Davis named Vice Chairman of Aging Nebraskan Task Force

Posted: Updated:

As a large number of Baby Boomers are getting up there in age, one panhandle state senator is now working to improve how they receive care.

During this past legislative session, the Aging Nebraskan Task force was created. The goal is to meet the increased demand for long term care services for elderly Nebraskans.

Hyannis Senator Al Davis was elected as vice chairman for this task force earlier this month.

"Primarily because I represent a portion of a state with a large number of elderly men and women," explains Davis, "And partly because District 43 represents a part of the state where aging issues are more complicated than in more populous portions of the state."

The Aging Nebraskan Task Force is funded by money made available by the Affordable Care Act.
