A girl from Harrison is recovering after being bit by a snake near her Sioux County home.

Seven-year-old Britney Klein was picking flowers by her home, when a rattlesnake bit her.

It took an ambulance ride and two helicopter rides to get her the treatment she needed, but she's now fine.

ABC Affiliate KMGH in Denver say Klein received two puncture marks in the middle of her leg. Her father Chris said she had a lot of redness around the bruising- which was the venom.

KMGH reports that her first dose of anti venom came in a helicopter ride from Harrison to Scottsbluff. Doctors said she should be treated at the Denver Children's hospital, and was once again transported by helicopter.

While she was recovering her in hospital bed, the 7-year-old got one more surprise from a snake. Her dad had bought her a red plush snake from the gift shop.
