The city of Mitchell got a lot of attention Saturday as people flocked there to check out cars, eat good food, and enjoy some music.

The 10th Annual Concert in the Park kicked off early Saturday morning.

Event organizers says this is the biggest year for the event so far, with a car show, concessions, live music, and even an Abraham Lincoln impersonator.

It was also a big day for the Mitchell Library, as all the proceeds from the event will go to the library's renovation project.

Mikaela Karpen, a local 4Her says she helped organize the library fundraiser for her diamond clover project.

"I chose the library because I know they've been trying to remodel and make renovations got the last couple years," she said. "They wanted to add on but they can't find the money for it. So I wanted to help them out, and the Mitchell chamber of commerce is helping me out a lot with today."

Karpen says she hopes today's event will raise at least $1,000 for the library.
