NE receives grant to retrain unemployed workers

More money will be coming to the state to re-train unemployed Nebraskans.

Nebraska will receive a $4.4 million dollar grant from the U.S. Department of Labor.

Nebraska is one of 32 states to receive part of the $155 million dollar grant.

The money is earmarked for training workers who lost their job through no fault of their own.

The money will also help provide career counseling and job placement assistance.

The training will be for jobs in high-demand industries.
