(PRWEB) July 09, 2014

After having to delay many dates on his 2014 Out There tour, Paul McCartney has announced an additional date for the tour. McCartney will travel to Petco Park in San Diego, CA on September 28th, marking the first time he has played in the city since 1976 when he performed with Wings on the Wings Over America tour. The show will be the venues 10th year anniversary, and the first-ever performance there by McCartney will be a perfect way to celebrate the occasion.

Ticket Down will have Paul McCartney Petco Park tickets including VIP seats, field seating, floor seats and general admission (GA) seating.

Over the course of his multi-decade long career, McCartney has been a successful solo artist, and has also had two incredible runs with The Beatles and Wings. The native of Liverpool, England, is known as one of the greatest writers of all time, having written or co-written 32 songs that claimed the No. 1 spot on the Billboard Hot 100 singles charts. Collectively, he has 60 gold discs and has sold more than 100 million singles and 100 million records as a solo artist and with his groups.

In March 1999, McCartney received one of the greatest accolades in the music business, earning a spot in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Two years earlier, he was knighted for his role in the music business. In the United States, he has sold more than 15.5 million records. In 1970, he released his debut solo album, McCartney, which earned platinum certification two-times in the United States for selling more than two million copies. Overall as a solo artist, he has released 24 albums including his most recent release, New, which came out in October 2013. The album peaked at No. 3 in the United Kingdom and United States.

Fans of McCartney can expect to hear many of the songs McCartney helped make famous as a member of The Beatles and Wings, plus many songs he performed as a solo artist. Fans can also expect to hear many of the new material off New, and if his previous history as a live performer lives true, fans will be able to catch a remarkable show.

Petco Park is the home of the San Diego Padres from Major League Baseball. The venue opened in 2004 and has seen numerous monumental moments in baseball history including the 750th home run in the career of Barry Bonds and played host to the World Baseball Classic. When it comes to music, acts like Madonna, Avicii, Deadmau5 and The Rolling Stones, who were the first group to perform at Petco Park, have played here.
