Gering Plumbing Board meets for emergency meeting

Posted: Updated:
An emergency meeting was held last night by the Gering City Plumbing Board.

The group needed to approve a license for a company to begin heating-ventilation-and air conditioning on the new Family Dollar store on 10th Street. The contractor, Ronald Davis of KCA Companies, Inc. is on site and is ready to work..

Board member Bill Wineman says the group only meets a handful times a year and needed to grant approval for this project immediately.

"The City of Gering does issue a license to contractors in that capacity," explains Wineman. "And since he's here, we've constituted an emergency so he can start the work and we'll start the approval process through this meeting."

Davis is carrying one million dollars in liability insurance for this project, which is well above the minimum requirement.
