The Scotts Bluff County Sheriff's Department is praising local law enforcement in their efforts to help capture the 'Melbeta All Around' robbery suspect.

35-year-old Travis Leier of Rapid City, South Dakota was caught Wednesday afternoon following a three-day search.

An employee at 'Mr. Money' pawn shop in Scottsbluff alerted authorities when she recognized Leier come into the shop.

The Scottsbluff Police Department was initially dispatched to the scene, and once officers arrived Leier took off on foot and over a fence.

Sheriff's deputies arrived shortly after and blocked off the surrounding areas.

A yard-to-yard search ultimately revealed Leier, who was hiding in a garage under a pick-up truck.

Troy Brown, Chief Deputy with the Scotts Bluff County Sheriff's Department says it was team effort to finally apprehend the suspect.

"Scottsbluff Police Department gets a big high-five on this one. Their guys definitely got dirtier and sweatier than our guys because they were the ones involved in the foot pursuit, chased him until he went into hiding. And then our guys were able to get there and help surround the area. But yeah, they did a great job locating evidence that he had discarded during his little foot pursuit that's going to make this case a lot stronger against him."

Deputy brown says Leier 'covered a lot of areas' during the three days he was on the loose, and anyone who notices missing property should contact the sheriff's department.
