210. That's the amount of golfers that teed up today for the annual Thelma Jones Memorial Golf Scramble.

The tournament is now in its 26th year, with proceeds from this year's tournament going towards the Regional West Foundation's campaign for continuing excellence. Money will go towards a new education center, a CT Scanner for the Cancer Center, New Equipment for cardiac catherization and refurbishing patient areas.

John Massey, the Chairman of the Foundation Board of Directors says today's turnout was great. "Obviously, the more golfers we have, the more opportunity we have to make money," explains Massey. "The support is overwhelming."

Thelma Jones was a very avid golfer who died at an early age of cancer. This tournament was created in her memory and continues to be a major event for the Foundation's fundraising efforts.

Early estimates for today's fundraising totals are in the ballpark of $30,000.
