Man injured after car strikes his motorcycle

Posted: Updated:

An unidentified motorcyclist has been transported to Regional West Medical Center after getting struck by a car.

At 12:44, a red Chevrolet driven by 33-year-old Megan Hendricks was attempting to make a left hand turn from Avenue B onto South Beltline. Authorities say she failed to see a motorcycle that was traveling westbound, and clipped the front tire while making the turn.

The motorcycle rider flipped onto her windshield and cracked it. He was wearing a helmet and was conscious when he was transported to the hospital.

Police cited Hendricks for failure to yield to a vehicle.
