Rural Minatare man injured after car accident

Two rural Minatare men have escaped serious injuries after a car accident at a rural intersection east of Minatare on Wednesday afternoon.

The accident happened at 4:07 p.m. 

Scotts Bluff County Sheriff Mark Overman says deputies responded to the injury accident at the intersection of County Road 34 and County Road L.

Investigators say 56-year-old Kevin Adams of rural Minatare was driving a 2011 Chevrolet pick-up westbound on County Road L when it collided with a northbound semi-truck.

51-year-old Michael Haug of rural Minatare was driving the semi-truck.

Adams was transported to Regional West Medical Center by Valley Ambulance, with non life-threatening injuries.

Haug was not hurt. Officials say both men were wearing seatbelts at the time of the accident.

Haug was cited for violating a stop sign.

Drugs or alcohol are not suspected.

The Minatare Fire Department also assisted in the accident.
