Gering woman with meth and morphine charges has case bound to District Court

A woman charged with distributing controlled substances within 1,000 feet of a school zone has had her case bound over to Scotts Bluff County District Court.

Thirty-five-year-old Tracy Hoffman was back in court this morning for her preliminary hearing on charges of:


  • Distribution of a Controlled Substance (Methamphetamine) within 1,000 feet of a school zone
  • Distribution of a Controlled Substance (Morphine) within 1,000 feet of a school zone
  • Distribution of a Controlled Substance (Morphine) within 1,000 feet of a school zone

  • Court documents say that on September 25, 2013 a CI working for the WING Drug Task Force purchased .67 grams of meth from Hoffman at the Dollar General Store in Gering. On April 7, 2014 that same CI purchased 2 morphine pills from Hoffman, and again on April 18th. 


    All charges were bound over to District Court and Hoffman will be arraigned on July 25th.
